Lymphatic Drainage Massage (LDM) is a specialized form of massage that uses gentle, targeted pressure to stimulate the natural drainage of lymphatic fluid from the peripheral tissues to the cardiovascular system. LDM should not be confused with traditional massage.
Lymphatic drainage can be performed manually or with specialized machines. One of the primary indications for lymphatic drainage is the treatment of lymphoedema (fluid retention and tissue swelling), often following procedures such as liposuction, tummy tucks, and other surgeries.
